>>>>>>>>>The
aquarium of O. Rinia at Makkum.
He was one of the five trend setters in sea water aquaristics at the national
Aquarium contest in the jeer 2000 . With 4 other aquarists he showed how to take
care of stony corals if it must grow so that it can be reproduced by means of
fragmentation. We can pose, that some time or other exactly the reproduction of
seewater-animals could prove to be of topical interest in the coming jeers
The
aquarium is 2.60 m in length, 0.7 m in depth en 0.5 m in height. So together with
the biologic filter containing filter a water volume of a cool 1¼ cubic. That
of course is a pro when a stabile waterquality is important. On both pages devoted
to this aquarium, one can gain for instance an impression of the extensive techniques,
of which no part is superfluous: a proteineskimmer combined with a filter
with dry and wet compartment about which more on the next page, a reactor of lime,
an UV-lamp and a ozonizator.
Waterquality;
On one of the pictures above we see colleague-judge Henk Alblas busy with the
measuring. It will be clear that the values all were O.K. so that amply was met
with the needs of stony corals will they be able to grow. For those who are interested
we show them under here. ....Temp: ....24
